I am trying to connect my Surface Pro 4 to a which is certified for Miracast. I have ensured the TV is running the latest firmware from Sony, and the PC is running the latest drivers / firmware from Microsoft. When connecting to the display the Surface flashes, the TV saysit is preparing screen mirroring, but then the Surface flashes again saying it 'couldn't connect' and the TV says 'Device connection failed'.In Device Manager I can see the listings for the device, as well as in Settings Devices Connected devices (where it says 'Not Connected' underneath). This stuff should just work, but with vague error messages I'm unsure as to what to try next to resolve this issue. Please advise if there is any logging I can look up to understand what is happening.

Help?I checked the network adapter stack and there is no virtualization drivers on the stack. The PC is not joined to a domain, and the firewall is the stock Windows Firewall.

It is a standard Surface Pro 4 - Windows + Office.I tried logging the events on the Microsoft-Windows-WiFiDisplay trace provider but there wasn't anything useful there - looks like mostly just response time measures. I did manage to get connected once too - but the screen barely rendered the mouse cursor:When I set the projection mode to second screen I got something up, but it was missing a lot of pixels:Since that one 'successful' connection, I haven't been able to reconnect to it. I have tried setting the WiFi direct options on the TV to favor 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and back to auto-detect - nothing has made a difference.
